At this age there was the old 2.5 turbo diesel.

Later on they moved to the Mercedes derived 2.8 CRD.

Okay, since 2003, Jeep has offered the Liberty in diesel overseas, and here in the states since 2005. With the change in diesel fuel regulations, diesel prices right now tend to be higher than other fuels. It is supposed to stay this way until late fall, early winter 2006. Jeep is offering the Liberty and the Wrangler (overseas) in diesel in the 2007 model year, with the Grand Cherokee and Commander available here in the U.S. with a Mercedes Diesel in December of 2006.

Dont think so. you can get a 2.7 diesel not a V6 tho
