Soulmates and love at first sight?

Question

Does any of those two really exsist? I really wanna believe it does, but with my past relationship its beginning to fade away. And will love find u or is that a saying people say to shut u up?

I found the love of my life at 18. I truly think we were meant to be. during one of our talks we discovered that he had seen me before we actually met and he said he'd found me attactive. i know he had seen me because I remember being at that place that day. Three years later when we met and got to know each other, we got along so well that 3 months later of being friends he told me that one day I would be his wife, not forcefully but like he would wait as long as it took. and almost 11 years later ( 5 of them married) we still love each other very much.

The term "soulmates" comes from a theory that we have our soul split in two in heaven and are sent back down to earth to find the other half of our own soul.
If you take this into account, then it just means someone who complements you as you are and you feel whole when you get with them.
Love at first sight is an initial romantic attraction based purely on how the person looks. Sometimes we can pick up alot when we first see someone, i.e. the setting (if they're sat in a library reading and we're studious ourselves, this could make for a great match).

No, I believe that it can happen. But I know a lot of people these days are so desperate to be with a "mate" that they have said over and over "it was love at first sight" and then a month, a year, or a couple of years goes by and they are not together any longer. HUMM is it love or desperation?
Here is the correct definition of "Soul Mate": A Soul Mate is a Soul that you have spent time with in another life time, it can be of the same sex, your friend, it can be anyone you feel really comfortable with and feel as if you have known each other forever, and you just met. I believe we live many lives. Some lives are more solitude than others. I also delineate between soul-mates which are kindred spirits, and karmic relationships which are to mutually teach one another a specific lesson.

Also there is a theoretical concept called Twin Flames. This is different than a soul-mate as your Twin Flame is suppose to actually be literally the other half of your soul.

Supposedly we were created as a male/female Ovid and split apart to go our separate ways through out creation. This is why many find it such an spiritual experience when finding what they often describe as their "other half".

But be forewarned. When you find your twin flame it is not all peach fuzz and roses. Usually it kicks up all the karmic crap you have been building up and haven't yet worked through.

I believe I have met mine and though it did not end well it was one of the most intense and spiritual experiences of my life. If you want more information on this read the book "Twin Flames" my Mary Elizabeth Prophet. It is simply and easy to read.

I dont know theres just something about a certain womens eyes, and smile, thats what gets me everytime, im not the best looking but i would have to say that i need to voice it more, u know because people these days are so busy, i feel they just need to talk, even if that other person already has a companion, the key question, is what if they didnt? what if they actually had the same interests as u, what if they actually felt the same way about u on first sight? im a little above average but i attract all sorts of women but at a very random consistency. Im not picky but the person i would fall in love with at first sight has to mirrior my image and at least be as good looking as i am. Just my thoughts

Souls aren't really like piece of lego or puzzles which have slots that can slide into each other. Love at first sight probably did exist, in a time when feelings were meantand emotions were pre. But in todays day and age, it's lost. End result being that both are a bit like half truths - they're only partially true.

We all have soul mates, and there are more then one for each person. Look at the couple of really good friends you have and notice that your souls have matched well.

But as far as love at first site....I believe that the quicker you fall in love, the faster it ends. A slower, but no too slow, fall means a longer lasting relationship.

The definition of a Soulmate is the exact mirror image of ur true self, ie: meaning ur soul. You where i believe, created at the same time by God.
To find your Soulmate, or 'True Love', you will hav to open your heart, drop all ego's, then and only then will you invite their energy, and they will come to you.

Seriously. I started talking to this woman on the internet January of last year and we e-mailed back and forth until March until we started talking on the phone. We talked on the phone till July and finally decided it was time to me. I went to her house to pick her up and when she opened the door and I first laid my eyes on her I knew that she was the one for me. So we continued to date, I moved into her house in November and we got married June 20. So it does happen. I thought it would never happen to me. So hang in there, when the timing and the right person comes along you will know it.

i believe that soul mates exist but not everyone finds their soulmate so they don't believe in it. I think that love at first sight occasionally happens. And i think that love finds you when you arent expecting it.
