I suggest an HP. I looked the market over and bought a dv4000.
It is rock solid and HP has good support.

I been looking for a good Laptop. What people seem to trust most is "Dell". Many that have Toshiba say they had trouble with that Laptop. If, your only choices are Siemens, Toshiba and Sony. My guess would be the Sony. Lenovo could be a good choice, it was IBM before China bought out their computer division, I just wait until there more feed back on Lenovo before I would buy that brand.
Abaton correct, I have never had trouble with HP (Hewlett-Packard) I have a Desktop and two laptops by them (Old). But, here on this, when they merged with Compaq I was not real sure what this do to their quality.

I wanted to let you know. Windows will be coming out with a new OS called "Windows Vista" if you have not read up on this, you may want to wait and buy a computer with this OS already installed. Most likely it will have a few "Bugs" at first, but, by June 2007 it should be a stable system worth looking into. Also, if you want a Laptop now then you may want to ask if it be Designed to run Vista. In the USA there usually a little Sticker on the left corner will tell what OS a computer Designed for, though, most may run it with the proper Patches and Drivers, etc.
