10-12 years, they are apparently prone to deafness and do not like to be left alone.
A lady at work has two and they do need a lot of attention, absolutely gorgeous though.

In a book I have called "choosing a dog for life" it says 10 years. My dal is currently 11 and in great health so averages don't always play out. :)

10 - 15 years on average, and dalmatiAn has three A's, as I was informed a couple of weeks back !
