The same answer keeps popping out of pro illegals that everyone was an immigrant in this country, either they are ignorant or they are trying to cover up the fact that while everyone was at one time an immigrant, everyone had to wait in line to be processed and accepted for US citizenship, you can not come into a country and just demand that right, you have to earn it,every country has the same laws, including mexico, which are actually tougher than the US.so stop using that excuse,it doesn't work.

I do not think that immigration is an emotional issue at all. Legal immigrants are supported and needed. Illegal aliens are not. I love the diversity in America and without past and present legal immigrants, we would not be the strong nation we are today. Be proud of your heritage and be proud that you are an American.

real immigrants or illegal immigrants?
It is an economic issue. Those on the receiving end of the funds will say whatever they think will work to keep getting them. We on the paying end of the funds who see education and services degraded as a result of excess immigration of poor people whose taxes don't cover their services would be idiots to let that keep us from resolving the issue.

As a general rule, those anti illegal immigration have facts to back up their case ... so far those who would encourage it can show nothing but emotional statements "they're only here to better themselves" type of thing ... the fact is, as independent reports show, that illegal immigration is costly to the tax payers, and brings untold problems from terrorist threats to illnesses ... it is a serious problem, not to be taken lightly, and certainly not to be decided by sentimental reasons ...

Immigrants usually come from a homogeneous society, so their not accustomed to people with different view points. People born in Canada you'll find are of the most tolerant variety. If for example someone where to tell a born Canadian that they don't like Canada he/she would most likely respond by asking why. On the other hand if you were in Italy and told them the same about their country they would probably spit on you, or if you said it in Iraq get killed!

What you are asking is for people to be unemotional over an extremely emotional issue. It's hard not to be emotional when humans are involved.
