My kids for some reason hate the taist of the chewable vitamins. I was wondering if anyone knows how good the vitaments that are gum drops and chewy gummy bears are. Have you had any luck with them and are they good for the kids. My kids are 7 years old, 6 years old and almost 5 years old.

Actually, though most vitamins are not actively bad for children, the best way to make sure they get all they need is to feed them a healthy and well-balanced diet. Factually, most vitamins take so long to absorb that they mostly just pass through the system. Which is why food is the better source--it takes lots more time to process than pre-separated and purified vitamins. There are very few vitamins or minerals not available in fresh fruit and vegetables, and in the most usable form, too. Vitamin tablets or gels or whatever might give them some of the stuff they need, but a good diet not only provides all that stuff, it also teaches them good nutrition for a lifetime, and good eating habits.

My boys just turned 3, 5 and 8 and absolutely love the gummy vitamins! I checked with the pharmacist and found that they're not as good for you as say the Centrum kids vitamins but are far better than nothing. They now have sour gummy vitamins as well. Good luck!

The Way To Increase vitamen level in anyones body the most efficiently is Sunlight (That's It !) Unless Your Child Has been diagnosed as not being able to produce one of them at all.

And Unless Your A Pommy Or An Albino (Bad News.)

If You really Want To By Promite, Vegimite and And orange Juice
at 50-100 times the price and give it to your kids, then by all means do, A good Way to diguise them is soak normal vitiman tablets in milk or soy(if alergic) overnight in fridge and make a Milkshake/smoothie for them the next day, They will not know at all.

Hope This Helps.

My kids loved the gummy vitamins. Kids tastebuds are all unique. Sometimes you just need to try some different kinds of vitamins on them until they find the one that suits their taste. I liked those poly vi sol liquid vitamins when I was a kid.

I guess your children must be like my grandchildren, not wanting to eat their veggies etc. We've tried the gummy bears and they taste like gummy bears and went over pretty good. They still at times rebel, but come winter, they will eat them again. If they won't eat them, then there's no chocolate or treats.

On a day to day basis there is absolutely NO reason to give children either vitamin or mineral supplements. Save the money, and spend it instead on proper food - whole unprocessed food. Good quality meat (not hotdogs), plenty of FRESH fruit and vegetables, good quality carbohydrates, milk, eggs, fish.

Fresh air and sunlight are important as well (Vitamin D)

Cut down on ready meals, take away food, highly processed rubbish, sugar and salt.
