I believe so after all Christ shared wine with his followers. If the Lord wants you to have the job the opening will be there, if he doesn't the job will be filled before you are hired. If you need the job to feed and shelter your family then take it and on your off time then look for something else. If the job is just for spending money do not take it because it seems to go against your personal beliefs. It just depends by what " really bad " means. By all means talk the situation over with your pastor, he should be able to give you scriptures to help you decide.

Is a package store the same as a gas station? I don't really understand the terminology. But, if you are looking a job and you aren't sure whether or not it would appropriate for you to work at this particular place, are there any towns close enough to commute to work? A job is a job. Hopefully it isn't that bad a place to be and you can stay there long enough to get on your feet. Your town just may not be a very opportunistic place to be. You may need to consider relocating somewhere where you can follow a career path instead of simply having a job. Good luck with the job hunting.

Apparently you are a member of a sect that looks down on alcohol consumption. Many denominations do not see alcohol use as sinful. Be certain you've found a church that you can feel comfortable attending, or otherwise, you may be so ashamed that you'll need to find a different job.
Perhaps this job is a blessing. Who knows what you'll find once you're there? It's certainly better to have a job than to starve.

There is nothing wrong with working where they sell gas. If you do not 'want' to work there then that is a personal issue, not really a Christian issue. If you need more input just relax and pray to God that he will lead you on your way. Good luck. God Bless.

No, a Chrtistian is supposed to stay at home and not come in contact with sin.
Dont work, just pray and wait for Gods salvation.

Apparently, the church the asker presently attend is against alcohol. The Bible is not against alcohol; it is against the abuse of alcohol. God authorizes alcohol. (I will not mention those texts here for now).
The only thing that may scripturally stop you is your own conscious. All things are pure (Romans 14:20).
