Actually, I found one yesterday. Blend together, 1 cup vanilla ice cream, 1/3 cup peanut butter (protein), 1 banana, 2 cups milk or skim milk, 1 pkg. jello instant chocolate pudding mix. Yummy!

How about home made soup, slowly simmered with lots of meat in it? He could drink the broth which would be as high, or higher, in protein leached from the meat than the protein shakes and wouldn't have all of the carbohydrates. It might not look appetizing, but the meat could be blended with the broth and a little flour or cooked potatoes, or potatoe flakes, added to thicken it. The broth would be seasoned while the meat is cooking and the result would be a very high protein content.

You can get some good mixes at www.bodybuilding.com for much better prices than GNC or other health food stores. Whey and Soy is great source of protein, and Vanila is usually best for taste. Add a serving of your protein mix to a blender along with some ice cubes, water, and whatever else you want for taste. Bananas, peanut butter, oatmeal, etc..
