I need a good menu for when it is my turn to do a varsity team dinner. One day a week, after practice, the varsity soccer team has a dinner together. Parents take turns preparing and serving dinners to the boys. I would like something fairly easy to put together, because I will be serving it at the high school near the locker rooms. I am also hoping to find something that most teenage boys will enjoy. Cost is also somewhat of a factor, as unfortunately I am not independantly wealthy. :] Thanks !

First into days food world I would make sure none of the team has any food allergies. I have a teenage daughter and I always ask the parents or the kid if they are old enough if they have any. Just as a precaution to avoid problems on down the line. Grab a large crock pot or two. In most areas ground turkey isCheAP. In Sloppy Joes kids can't tell the the difference. Make them up day befor. M ornig of , slip them into the crock pot on low cover them and forget it. Side dishes most most like stuff they can dip. Vegetables now a days can be picked-up at the local market cleaned washed and ready to eat. A nice tray of a variety Veggies would be great. Cool and refreshing in all types of weather, and again simple so you can enjoy the fun too. Try and get the whole buns for the Joes better than the straight white. With veggies and the meats covered, we can now turn to drinks and dessert. For drinks in the summer party season, I like to take frozen leamonade and instead of mixing it with the amount of water called for on the can, I go with a sugar free lemonade, and a sugar free club soda. Trust me, the kids will never know it is surgar free. Oh, buy the baked chips, less fats that. They too, when dumped in a bowl they won't be able to detect the "bake from the "Fryed. For dessert let's see.... how about a variety of assorted popsicles and fudgesicles and such. Using a punch bowl, filled with ice, you can stick them down in there just after the end of the meal and the kids can help themselves. When it comes to popsicles I would go along the lines of the many varieties of juice pops on the market. They are in most cases I find better than the regular popsicles in taste and better for them. Don't forget directing in the team colors will livin up the party as well. There are a lot of new paper products on the market that can be mixed and matched to go with the theme. I hope this will help you out. Wish the team GOOD LUCK for me. Oh by the way don't think on large crock pot will do ya? I am sure you have family, friends and neighbors to help with an extra one or two. Ask the mothers of the kids on the team, I am sure you will be able to come up with one somewhere.

something good to feed a soccer team of 25 would be a pasta toss. it's simple. if u live by a whole foods or now where one is, buy a chicken sausage,(in case someone is a vegitarion) and a penne pasta, and a green veggie(broccili, green beans etc). then for a sauce u mix in like chilli pepper and so cream. u steam the veggie and the cut up sausage, and boil the nooldes. then u add the noodles in wth the veggie and the sausage. add the cream and chilli pepper sauce in and there u have a pretty simple pasta toss.

Sloppy Joes. Easy. Cheap. Feeds a lot of people. Then get lots of different chips and dips. Cut up vegies. Cookies or brownies or cupcakes for dessert.

Don't want sloppy Joes? Hot dogs. Cheap.

Chili?

Heyy, well, you have one of the simplest groups ... In my opinion, highschool boys will eat almost anything you thrust in their faces ... Just make sure it's ... meaty, oily, greasey, and fatty, as well as large in portion. ^^ Order a pizza ... takeout ... w/e ... fast food ... ^^ Sloppy Joes, Subs, Sandwiches, Burgers, Hotdogs, ... Steaks? Kebobs? o_0 And tons and tons of soda ...
