the cheapest and easiest way is to buy a usb digital receiver, these only cost around £40 and are very easy to set up,but make sure you are near a north facing window as you will pick up a stronger signal this way
some usb digital devices have ariel sockets so a home ariell can be connected to get a very clear reception, even better if the outdoor ariell is a digital ariel
these usb digital setups are good as they come with software that allows you to time your recordings so your dvd recorder can record hollyoaks while you are still in bed on a sunday morning
for a good bargain on one of these usb digital receivers go to dabs.com(http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=3S2L&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=usb+digital&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0
good luck

Yes. You could buy a freeview receiver that plugs into your USB port, for example
Freecom Digital TV DVB-T USB Stick Freeview receiver
And tune into the freeview channels.
I'm sure you can get ordinary receivers as well but I'll have to get back to you :-)

You need a TV tuner for your laptop and also a sattelite or cable (you need to plug that into your tv tuner which will plug in to your laptop), or if you have a fast internet connection you can subscibe to an online TV provider.(this costs money)
Good luck!
