Hi,
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, it is always a tragedy to lose a loved pet. When my two old dogs died I was devastated but the important thing is, it sounds like you gave him a good life. So, I know it is upsetting for you but you should be celebrating his life not grieving over your loss. Don't worry about being in tears just cry as much as you want. It is not a curse all things die, and I know it is hard if you cannot go to the funeral but Chintu is gone that is just his empty shell. He lives in your happy memories of him,
Once again so sorry to hear this, take care PP

I'm really, really sorry to hear about your dog. I was through that with a cat once. The best way to deal with sorrow, ive found, is to be with people. Have friends over, go to a social activity. Just do something that will help you get your mind off of the dog. Perhaps get a new dog.
I dont think that god cursed you, or anything like that. Things die. An animal, no matter how much love it exerts or intakes, cannot live forever. I'm very sorry for your loss. Best wishes to you.

I am so sorry for what you're going through - I have been through this, and I know how much it hurts. :-( Is there any way your husband could come home early? You really need to be with someone right now. You didn't do anything wrong, this wasn't anybody's fault. If it helps at all, and I know it probably doesn't right now, there will come a day when you won't feel this bad. It just takes time.
Some people find that visiting this site helps - it's for pet loss grief support:

And here's a link to Rainbow Bridge:

Hope this helps

God didn't curse you dear....this is how Satan gets you to hate God...don't blame the Lord...this is not how the Lord punishes people..see how you are feeling resentment towards God? This is what Satan wants....this is just a sad, terrible thing that happened...I lost a little bird friend in a horror way...but did not blame it on God...I knew who was behind it and my faith is even stronger..I am so sad for you, for indeed, it is like losing a family member, or a child...But Time is a great healer...you might be punishing yourself for things you must know you have done that are wrong in God's eyes..but you also must know, that our Father is a forgiving God, and through Jesus, all you had to do was say you were sorry...I am truly sorry for your Loss,...

It is OK to love and it is OK to grieve. It just says that you are human. It is natural and there is nothing wrong with you. However all things will pass if you allow them to. It does not mean you have to forget. With children, it is always difficult to replace. With pets, it may be a little easier.
We had a dog called YoYo. She followed my wife home when we were walking our golden retriever. I tried to put her out she keep coming back. So we keep her after several days and name her YoYo. Turned out to be a wonder family member. Two years ago, during twilight hours, a neighbor ran her over right in front of us and it was devastating. Her death broke our hearts and my wife fell to pieces. As much as we grieved over the loss of YoYo, 2 months later I went down to the animal shelter and pick out Mickey, an 8 month old white and tan collie/husky mix. What a find and really helped my wife to deal with the loss.
We have several computers in our house. I take pictures of YoYo and Stitches (my cat that died in my arms of old age two weeks ago), and scanned them on to the desk top screen. So you see, I still see them everyday and still reminds us of the good times we had together.
Feel better. Good things happen to good people.

Please accept my condolences on your dog's passing. It is always hard to lose a beloved pet that you consider a real member of your family!!
I don't exactly understand why you feel that God "cursed you." Does that feeling have something to do with the circumstances of the dog's death?
The grief will lessen in time, but 'til then just realize that it's totally normal to feel very sad.

It's ok to be sad when a pet dies, but saying that it was a curse, or that god is punishing you for something is absolutely insane. Everything has to die, it's the way of life. Sometimes we know ahead of time that someone is gonna go, and sometimes we don't.
