whats a other year of being single, or another ( for your mom) and same goes for the married guy until things settle down a little bit. there is a lot of feelings involved esp. with the married guys kids. remember the wedding vows. to death do us part, for sickness or in health. ( i prob. said it backwards). but uno what i mean. He should stick by his wife no matter what, be married to her until she has past away. ( no matter what she is going through). Why get married if u cant take those vows seriously. your mom can give support to the wife that is sick and also as a friend give support to the Internet guy. As for u supporting your mom with her choice of marrying the Internet guy, u can let her know how u feel about it. If u don't like it. tell her. if u don't mind that she married a married man then tell your mom that too. communication is the key. Talk about it. and please, don't forget the women that is sick. She needs all the support in the world.

Alzheimer's is a terrible disease. As long as the man has not abandoned his first wife and is still providing care for her, and her children still see her, then I don't blame him for taking a 2nd wife. You should be supportive.
It's like that case where the woman in Florida was in a coma for so many years and her husband was living with another woman and had children by her. His wife was never going to wake up or get better and he deserved to have a happy life. He did everything he could to support the woman in the coma.

He's a "great guy with wife and kids" and he's talking about marrying someone else WHEN/IF his wife dies????? What is he thinking? And what is your mother thinking??? What if she were the one who was ill and he already had a replacement picked out? His children will surely resent his callous attitude toward their mother. If your mother has been single for 15 years, could she not wait until ...or if....his wife has been dead for a year at least???? I don't care how liberal our world has become, some things are just disrespectful and this is one of them!!!!!!!

He would be a bigamist if he married your mother while he was still married to his terminal ill wife.

If your opinion is asked then be as honest about it and as polite as you can be. You don't have to agree but I wouldn't be rude either

From how you stated your question, it sounds as though he has committed bigamy. Is this the problem?
