The process of getting the braces on isn't painful. However, as the wires exert pressure on the teeth (it's slowly moving your teeth into different positions), your teeth and gums will be very sensitive for about 10-14 days, then you begin to adjust, and the pain decreases. You can use various pain-relievers such as motrin or advil to ease you through this period. Be patient, you will get through it, and it's worth it....You'll be really happy when the braces come off, and you've got beautiful white straight teeth!

u do not have 2 worry that much.
after ur little thingy 2 get braces, u teeth will feel tightened and stuff, u mite need sum advil/motrin/other painkillers. U shud go n buy a milkshake since milkshakes help numb urself (kinda) and help relieve the pain. Ur head mite also feel heavy, due 2 the braces that r in ur mouth, but that feeling will go away in a few days.

It doesn't hurt to get braces on, it just hurts when they get tightened. Just take an asprin when you get them tightened and eat right before you go. The only thing that I didn't like about getting my braces put on is that you have to keep your mouth open for the glue to dry. That was the worst part of the whole process. You'll live.

Yes, it will hurt a bit ... I got them two years ago but I've gotten them off already. However, don't worry, there's not going to be bloodshed or anything. =) And the pain won't last that long. At the most, it should only last fro 2 days, and it's only this irritating numbing pain, which doesn't really hurt.

u dont feel the pain (more like pressure from the wires) after its on... wen they put it on.. the only problem is u have to open ur mouth for a while..... it hurts on the first few nights...so its hard to bite... i suggest u eat something not too hot or cold... and something that is easy to swallow or dont require u to bite a lot...(like porridge).. but afterwards it doesnt hurt anymore....cuz u kinda get use to it...

...if you follow directions and floss between ur braces...it speeds up the process...otherwise it often takes much longer than what it should have been....i had them for like 3 years....which was good compare to 5 yrs (my friend had them for 5) but it depends on the situation...

also becareful when u have braces not to bite on hard things...eat things in small pieces and fruits cut into little pieces...and the doctor usually says dont eat hard candy, chew gum cuz it can get stuck to the brackets....and stuff like that ... they should tell u that wen u get ur braces....

from what people tell me, yes, but it's worth the pain to have beautiful teeth. I've been wanting braces for more than ten years now. When I get them I'm sure I'll be using advil.

iT DOESN'T HURT TO GET THEM PUT ON BUT IT TAKES A WHILE THEY DONT JUST PUT THEM ON YOU HAVE TO WAIT EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS OR SO TO GET THE GLUE ON AND THE set ons then braces you can't eat crunchy or chewy candy or foods or almonds nuts etc. It hurts when you get them tightned you can pick out whatever color you want that's the fun part! I know cause my mom and sister have them! GL!

Putting them on doesn't hurt. Wearing them and taking them off hurts. It's the price we pay to be beautiful. I think it's worth it.
