Hay im not an expert on this matter, im the type that usually just losses contact and ignore calls etc, however if you have to see him again then i would advise you just make an excuse such as:

you think having a relationship is too much for you, and it's affecting your school work as he is always on your mind. And you really need to work hard and get good grades and if he liked you so much he would understand.

It will not be easy - but tell him your feelings in person and if hes a decent guy he should understand - say that it is unfair on you both to carry on as it is and that you care for his friendship very much. He may need time to recover but in the end it will be for the better. About school - well you will have to deal with it when it comes because you will not know how he will react. But do tell him asap!! Good luck!!

You need to be sensitive. Tell him you care very deeply about him and would never want to hurt him, tell him specific things you like about him, but that you don't think you're able to be in a committed relationship with him right now. You can tell him you need to focus on your school. It always helps to balance the hurt you will cause him with positive things you can tell him. Remind him that you wouldn't trade the time you had with him for anything in the world, but that you know he deserves a girl who can and will love him whole-heartedly. Tell him you'll always be his friend and he can always turn to you if he needs help, and then step aside and truly be happy when he finds someone new.

Very carefully. Handle the situation the way you'd like to be treated if the tables were turned and your boyfriend wanted to break up with you. Look in the mirror and say to yourself the words that get the message across without tearing him (and your inner self) down in the process.

Just politely tell him that you don't have the same feelings for him romantically as you use to at first, but as time past by romantically you two have grew apart but you still have feelings for him as a friend but its not going to work romantically and you don't want to lead him on and hurt him. ,

Be nice about it because you have to see him daily at school. Don't rub it into your face or be spiteful. Just tell him that if its okay with him you would like to still continue a friendship with him. Be nice and be yourself.

speak to him and tell him how you feel. how do you know that he too doesn't feel as though its time to end the relationship. Be honest about your feelings and do it in person don't send a text or email. Face up to it and deal with it head on as they say the longer you leave it the harder it will get.

Don't worry everything happens for a reason whether we like it or not thats another story all together

Be honest, but DON'T use any of these, they're like knives to the heard and pride:
- I think we should be friends.
- I see you as more like a brother
- It's not you it's me
- I don't want to be seeing anyone right now

Be honest, and straight and if he's a man he'll accept it.

Straight to the point, dont skirt round the issue, but in a nice way. If he's a decent guy everythin will be ok.

When you are grown up you will understand how valuable it is being straight forward...

Just let him know that you are not happy anymore and that you want to go your own separate ways, tell him that you value his friendship but that is all you can offer at the moment.

Good luck x
