I'm not talking about requests for information, like "What are the stations of the cross?" I am referring to these endless bickering matches about whose God is the real God, why are people stupid enough to believe in God, how did God make the universe and with what ingredients, could Allah beat up the Christian God, where do you think the Garden of Eden was located, does Jesus really love us, ad nauseum.
Someone's faith is deeply personal, and it takes knowledge and quiet consideration - even prayer - to come to any meanngful answers. Atheism deserves respect too, it profoundly impacts one's life and is not based on snap decisions.
Also, some of the religious questions are just thinly veiled hate speech. Do they think they understand they are trivializing their own beliefs?
Some of this is coming from kids. I'm talking about the grown-ups, so called.

Some questions show the person's insecurity in their own faith, and some Answers are often so belligerent that they reinforce the same insecurities. Others just feel they have a bully pulpit to preach their religion and others just hate.
I admit to being caustic and sarcastic in some of my answers and am working on improving my attitude, others are smug in their assurance that no one but an evil blasphemer will think differently than they.
Still and all, Answers is one place a person can really show their true selves without friends, neighbors, family or the choir knowing it. Many would hide in shame if their chickens came home to roost.
None of us are truly blameless, just some of us are more to blame than others! LOL

Some people just like to come here so they may act like complete idiots and talk anyway they want..They get a thrill out of being obnoxious and rude.. I think their whole goal is too see how angry they can make others..
Me personally..you can believe what you want..i am not going to show disrespect to anyone Else's religion..I would like the same in return--but usually doesn't happen... but i will say something to negative comments..

You seem pretty conflicted, Sparky. You know, the world is a hateful place, and if you have read the Bible at all, you will know that it says that Satan is the one ruling this world, at least until God's kingdom removes him and all af mankinds governments that are following him. Until then, he uses commercialism, false religion, greed, everything that can possibly make this world rotten. Why? He knows his time is short and wants to take us out with him. You know, "If I can't rule it, ruin it" thinking? We just have to deal with it until it is ended. Hopefully, you will be in a position to survive it. Most won't. Remember the story of Noah and the flood? Out of the whole world, only 8 people came out alive, because they were the only one's listening to God. Everyone will make their own chioce in this matter. It's life or death, so think about it logically and don't listen to things that don't make sense, like most do. Oh, yes, as for what comes from kids... where do they learn their ways?

Because some have no where else to ask the questions, and some really do want to know what peole believe. Its called freedom of speech, which I find so awesome here in america! But when it starts being talking about to much hatred then that freedom is being taken advantage of.

Unfortunately religion is overrated and misunderstood. The basic idea of life is all are equal and may be there is some supreme power. I believe in it and someone else may not.
Its ironic that people choose not to understand it.

The preachers came here preaching first! If religion wants respect it should not disrespect other peoples way of life by trying to impose its values on us and continually preaching or hassling us.
