No, some like to believe we fundys are brainwashed hicks who run in fear of science, the opposite is true of course. I embrace fact based science because it does no conflict at all with scripture, in fact in Genesis we read the earth is a globe, they didn't remember that in the 1400s when they thought the earth was as flat as a pancake.

From our point of view (think about it) the sun revolves around us. Do you feel any kind of motion of the earth? If the earth was spinning at a 100 miles an hour don't you think you would feel it.
If the earth was revolving around the sun at 24,000 miles an hour don't you think you would be plastered against a wall? Now if the solar system was moving at 80,000 miles around the Galaxy don't you think that we would be crushed against that wall?
and if this Galaxy was travailing at 180,000 miles an hour through space, how flat would you be?
And I haven't even begun to speak of how flat our earth is! If it were a round earth the oceans would be sloshing across the continents!
Why just the though of those ship falling off the edge in to space scares the Hell out of me!
And if it weren't for Hollywood, no one would believe men walked on the moon, why every one knows we can not leave the earth, why you would think man could fly. Nonsense!
Cars should not be allowed to move faster than 60 miles an hour or the wind will suck the air out of your lungs!
Let the birds fly the fish swim, and let man scratch out his living.!
I'm going back under my rock now but let that sink in!!!

What is a fundamentalist.
I have heard the term, it has never been explained to me.
I get the connotation that it is not a very nice thing.
That they might be stiff necked, red necks and have a scowl on their faces all the time.
That they are legalistic.
That they see the Bible as written as a cook book.
If your foot hurt you cut it off, can I help?
Perhaps get the laws changed so that they can stone you if you say something off color..
Am I right in this assumption?

Ummm...u need to check your facts
It never says that anywhere in the Bible, so why would we Christians believe it?
It does however say in the Old Testament, that the earth is a sphere....but people don't read what the Bible says, just believe that the world was flat, till they discovered otherwise, and found out the Bible was true after all........The earth is round(sphere) wow! what a concept!

No they believe that everything revolves round their personal interpretation of a book of myths and their idiotic denial of facts even when they are beyond denial.

I'm sure some do.
Good question too, because it shows how belief can cause you believe things that we know are not true.
Even if no one believs that anymore, what other crazie stuff do they believe that we know to be untrue.

Fundamental Christians are so wacko it is not worth asking what they believe - they are clearly divorced from reality.
