I tried it but found it very complicated. Also, i was told it was free, but i only had 30 days free and then it wanted a credit card. i just wondered if anybody here was familiar with it and just what it is all about.

MIRC is not a chat program. It is merely a GUI client to IRC (Internet Relay Chat). MIRC just happens to be the most popular client for IRC. IRC is definitely more complicated to use than Yahoo, MSN, or AOL IM. People primarily use IRC for downloading files and for communicating in channels (e.g. computers, games) with users with the same interests.

always sacn everything for viruses when you download it especially with mirc. lots of viruses in those files.

scan them before opening them
