yup, all those link card and goverment aid, welfare. its a lie that an illegal can b on welfare or steal jobs, because for that u need a Real social security and if ur illegal u oviously dont have one. so therefor u cant have any of that. bout that jobs i really dont see an illegal walk up to a doctor and say "i gona steal ur yob señor" most jobs that illegals have are low payin jobs that any american wouldnt want anyway, why? low pay, no bennefits, long hours etc etc

Not every American on housing, section 8, and food stamps, etc. is lazy and not looking for a job. I know people who are really in need of help, that are trying to do the right thing that aren't able to get that help because a lot of times the help that is for American citizens is going towards immigrants. I think that if it is that important for immigrants to have help and legal rights, the least they could do is become citizens. I am not against immigrants but, I do believe that in some cases (not all cases) they do cost the USA too much money. I think that if immigrants want to have the same rights, that they should have become citizens and go through the same processes and pay the same TAXES as American citizens.

I happen to believe in the concept that there are "illegals" taking the jobs of actual american citizens.

They aren't taking *my* job, because, well, my job is self-employment. However, there are PLENTY of underskilled americans who could be maids, farm labor, etc..

The problem is, the "illegals" take money from business, and make use of government benefits (such as roads, working traffic lights, sanitation department, etc..) but since they don't pay income tax, they don't give back to the system.

John McCain made the foolhardy statement about "no american would pick lettuce... even for $50 an hour"

however, when he was challenged on that statement, he backpeddled .. or .. flip flopped ..

If I was uneducated, unskilled, and was on unemployment and was one of these people (americans) who claim "I just want to work" then I'd accept the lettuce picking job, as long as it's for a legal wage.

The problem is, that the illegals will sometimes work for $1 an hour, but because they have no "bills" to worry about, and no taxes to pay, etc.. that's enough. (and there's 25 of them living in one room)

Do I sound racist? I hope not, but I probably do.

The fact is, that these people are here ILLEGALLY.

I have no tolerance for welfare whores, either. If you are able bodied and unemployed, our government should ASSIGN you jobs. Even if it's "busy work" like picking up trash on the side of the road, rather than just giving out money for NOTHING.

don't know what part of the country your from but its not around here. These people are a drain on the economy of cities and states. Think about the time being wasted in our schools because Pedro can speak English. Insted of teaching little Pedro to speak English, my kids have to learn to speak Spanish. For those who think deporting will be too expensive remember this, trains run that way everyday. If these people want a better life for themselves maybe they should do it south of the border, rather than come here and exploit our system of government. I'm getting tired of paying for these people.

Girlfriend not all of them are out of work alot of them do work! ALOT of them are single mothers with jobs but can't afford living expences maybe you should look into these things! I am one of those people that thing these immagrants should not get all the advantages! I don't care if they work hard for their money most of them get paid under the table don't have to pay taxes and etc and all our hard earned money is paying for them. That is just ridiculous if you ask me! I am married with 2 children and my husband works and works HARD doind Heating and A/C on top of buildings all day in heat and winter but at the current time is an apprentice and is not making much money and I can barley affore to feed my family let alone pay my mortgage and other bills but when I go to apply for any of these things they told me my husband makes $5 to much a year for me to get any of this! BUT if all the imagrants weren't getting all this free stuff (and not paying into) then maybe some of the ligit working AMERICAN CITIZENS can get some help to get on their feet!

Actually just read that they are cracking down on these programs. Not really eliminating them just making sure the recipients are trying to better their lives and not being dead beats and sitting at home waiting for the money to arrive. I believe it is a state by state thing. They have to go to employment office /and or job search and have someone sign that they have indeed been there and inquired / applied just like one would have to do for unemployment benefits.

Americans are the ones those programs are FOR. As are our schools and other services for Americans and legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants are stealing and degrading those services for our own people.

The hiring phase of business is sort of, choosey, when it comes to age. A lot of people are unemployeed, who shouldn't be.

It's the case everywhere. You'd rather benefit your own people rather than outsiders.
Tell me, would you welcome anybody that passes by your front porch each day into your house to stay and eat and sleep in the same house you are leaving in?
Same theory.
