I can't drive but he's a great guy with morals and he's sweet and funny. I know all of the old people will say listen to your parents but I'm asking advice from teens who've secretly dated before. HELP!!

I'm 14 and my dad wont let me date either even though there are girls I know that dated when they were 12. And I had a HUGE crush on this one dude. But I still listened to my dad. My dad has told me things that I shouldn't do before and then I found out later that he saved me a lot trouble. And then there are time that I don't listen and I jack crap up. So I all ways listen to my parents no matter what ANYONE says. If it's the right guy for you I'm sure it'll work out eventually.

im not trying to be an old sounding person, i am 19. i have secretly dated and although its fun, its not as fulfilling as a relationship you can happily share with your friends. you say this guy has morals, but why would he want you to date secretly then? the best thing to do is hang out with him as a friend. i know its hard to be patient. ask your parents to let you have him over for dinner. my family hated my sisters bf, but he kept demonstrating that he was a pretty cool guy that respected my sister alot. if this guy is so great, he will do that for you

yeah well i think your right i think you better listen to your parents .... as i snuck out of the house to meet a boy as a teen and got caught and my *** was purple for two weeks lol no joke so ask yourself is it worth it...I personally didnt do it again.... :) found that it isnt worth all THAT ... your parents WILL eventually give in if you dont pester and be mean... but just let them be... i know i have a 14 yr old girl that wants to start dating as well and am in this boat and i dont want her to date but the longer she is quiet and good the more responsible i see she is the more guilty i feel and makes me think and want to conceed i am going to have to start letting go ... so just give them some time it wont be forever but just give them this ....be responsible , dont get into trouble, dont pester relentlessly, they will give in eventually sooner than you think....of course maybe if you asked them if you could go on a date with him and it was ok if they went with you or another couple was going with you it might sooth things some too....other kids or adults being there

thats an easy one... if this guy really wants to date you he needs your parents respect. have him come over to your house to have dinner or just sit and watch tv with everyone. have him help out cleaning up or doing dishes with you. your parents will know hes trying to please them and earn respect. after a few times they will probably let him come over and give you a bit of privacy. but what ever you do dont push the parents. be open and honest about it. they will give in and maybe your first real date might have to be with a group of people but at least its a start! trust me on this. i had a lot of friends and myself try this and it worked wonders. the key is patience!!

Perhaps your parents do not believe you are mature enough to go out on a date. You can prove you are indeed mature enough by not trying to "get away with" stuff like dating behind their back.
