I'm new to digital photography, which is better for a beginner to get good results--Photoshop Elements 4 or Paint Shop Pro X. I even have Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10, so I'm confused about which one will give me the most bang for my buck as far as quality pictures and enhancements goes.

You can download trial versions of PSE4 and PSPX and see which you like the best. I think between the two (have used both) it's more of user preference than anything. PSPX has more overall flexibility, but PSE4 has a more user friendly interface. Personally, I prefer PSP8 ... tried both 9 and X and went back to 8.

My recommendation is that you choose one program, then concentrate on learning it inside and out. Then, down the road, if you feel a need for something more, or different, you will have the basics down to transfer to anyother program.

Speaking as an experienced photographer, with over 40 years experience, it doesn't matter. Really, use what you've got until it won't let you do the things you want to do.
