Look,I've been drinking both whisky and vodka for quite a few years....I realise now that I should have been drinking vodka rather than whisky when I was younger..I'll explain why vodka is a much better drink.First of all if you're drinking the whisky with coke its the worse combination and very bad for your body.Whisky is also a sneaky drink because its heavier. You could be fine the one minute and be drunk before you know it...leaves a bad hangover if you drink too much of it and a bad body odor[and breath]...Vodka is a cleaner drink....not as fattening as whisky, better cause you can drink it with juice...hardly leaves hangovers the next morning and your breath isnt as bad...overall a much better drink I think and not merely as strong as whisky.

I'd say vodka as far as flavor. Whiskey is stored in smoked barrels to give it a flavor, and if you don't like that flavor, you won't like the whiskey. Vodka is tasteless.

As far as alcohol content goes, they're both 80 proof, usually. The higher the proof, the more alcohol it contains. Divide the proof by 2 to get the percentage. For example, a liquor that's 80 proof, would have 40% alcohol.

Smirnoff makes a 100 proof vodka (blue label). There's probably a whiskey made, that's stronger, too. It's just that 80 proof is usually the state maximum, for liquor. Jack Daniel's made 86 proof in the states that could sell it, but later switched it to 80 to simplify.

Except for red label vodkas they have the same Proof. 40-60. That is how you measure strength. As far as personally only you can answer that. Whiskey always makes me more drunk than vodka, some of my friends would disagree.

If you mean alcoholic content, I have not heard of 151 vodka but I have tasted 151 Wild Turkey.
If you mean taste then wiskey captures the crown. There is very little taste in a vodka shooter as compared to a shot of Old Granddad.

Well if you mean by taste, whiskey by far.

Vodka is deceptive, not much flavor and an easy mixer, but can get one very very drunk quickly. Whiskey has enough flavor to drink on it's own and as a result does not mix well. It will also get you drunk quickly.

You can check the label, but I think they're about the same proof (alcohol content) whiskey is generally harder on the stomach though if you tanked.

They both have comparable alcohol % values, so they would be the equal in strength. It is the alcohol value that makes one stronger than the other.
