There are numerous things you can do. Like you, I like getting back to nature. I like walking in the countryside near my house. Visiting a local park with the green grass is very peaceful. I also like visiting windy places, like coastal towns. There is something very purifying about breezy, sunshiny days. Really clear my head.
I also like travelling and get away twice a year to somewhere really interesting. I love getting immersed in the culture and character of the places I visit.
Music is very relaxing and there are many CDs etc to listen to if you need to unwind. Good examples: Blue States, Harmonium (Bradley James and Stuart James), Chicane, James Asher, Universe to Come, and anything calling itself 'chill-out' music.
If I have had a worrying day, I affirm as I go to sleep that 'all is well' or 'all is glory.' Something like that. Thoughts create reality so the thoughts you think as you drop off to sleep, seep into your subconscience, and form your experiences the following day.

I applaud your peaceful and tranquil question. I do too commune with Nature and try to do it daily. I am a Wiccan so it is a natural part of me and my religion. I make the attempt to meditate daily and use positive affirmations as much as possible. For example, beginning a day with affirming that I will only meet with loving, kind and supportive people that assist me with my highest goals always brings forth the best and happiest days for me, When I forget to start the day that way, well, don't always have the best days.
I also ask people when I can about how to make the world a more loving and peaceful place. The Age of Aquarius is returning and we will all learn to love and cooperate together at a much higher level than ever was known before. We will learn to put aside our differences and dissolve things like war, poverty and gang violence and any other form of violence. Our "gangs" instead may become cooperatives of people learning to care about and love each other instead.
In Love Always,

When I feel down, I pray and read my Bible, especially Psalms and Proverbs. They are very inspirational books. Sometimes I will sit outside in my swing under a big oak tree and look at the heavens and all the wonderful creations God has made- the birds, butterflies, flowers, etc. And sometimes I listen to gospel music, it is very uplifting. When I am really sad and sit outside, I have noticed a very beautiful yellow-greenish butterfly that comes by me. I wonder if that could be God? It makes my heart flutter everytime and makes me feel better. God gives us trials to make us stronger so we can face this cruel world and the last days. Keep your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He died for our sins so that we could have salvation. I thank God everyday for His love and the blood Jesus shed for me.
