First of all, you didn't mention you age. This makes a difference.
Being as you said a boy and not a man, I take it that you are of a younger age. If so, boys of a younger age are starting to feel their hormones, or testosterone, which controls the amount of male feelings in their bodies.
A boy may look at you because of this, or because he thinks you are very cute, and maybe would like to talk to you.
He is probably shy and afraid you will not return his feelings or not talk to him, because you think he is being silly.
Sometime he looks at you , just say "hi" to him, and see what develps from there! You may be surprised ! You may make a new friend or if you are alittle older, it may develop into something more than friendship, if that is what you want it to do!

I have several foster sons and have had hundreds of foster sons in the past 30 years. Many of them think a girl likes them because the girl looked at them. It could mean that the boy or girl likes the person that they are looking at or it could mean something else.
It is important for you to consider whether you want to encourage the attention and deepen the relationship. Be careful about selecting your friends.
If you want to encourage the relationship, smile. That's a good start. If you are close, you might say hi. If you want to go further you might ask a question. Notice something about the person that interests you.
You might be interested to know that most adolescent boys are physically attracted to girls first but attitude and interest become much more important very quickly.
Take care, have fun. Get a good education and be independent before becoming interdependent.

well if they stare that coul be a sign if u dont know a guy and they just start making conversation with you, if they smile at you alot, just a couple things, but uh if you really want to know if a boy likes you, ask him.
