I'm 17 years old. these past few months, i've been eating excessively. i have gained 5 whole kilograms, and i want to get back in shape and lose thise excess weight.

I know i am still growing and i don't want to do any drastic diet. So, i decided to have 3 meals a day and just cut off the junk.

but the problem is that at lunch i just crave tasty food. For 2 weeks i've tried eating a healthy sandwich filled with boiled chicken and some vegetables, but i crave tasty things, and i just end up buying a chocolate cake or a piece of fried chicken! Can you suggest something good, that will both satisfy my hunger and my cravings?

Panera Bread's Asian Chicken salad... it's the best salad i've ever had. I'm not sure on the overall nutrition facts, but it's more satisfying to me than most dinners, and has lots of things that are good for you (and the right amount of fats/sugars to be be better than chocolate cake/fried chicken!). It's awesome lettuce, basic chicken (grilled, I believe), cashews, mandarin oranges, and a few other ingredients that go well with those. It comes with a dressing that was made for the salad, so it's a complete taste and is very satisfying. Good luck!

I have lost 48 pounds since I started losing fat at the beginning of the year try a couple of these things. A nice sized salad w/ fat free dressing (I use only 2 tbs which is 1 serving) and some grilled chicken in it for protein it keeps you full. Grilled chicken and veggies like broccoli, cauiflower and carrots with some soy sauce or even over rice, I only eat brown rice. I eat Lean Cuisine's at lunch too or even leftovers from the previous nights dinner. Focus on eating things that will fill you up and keep you satisfied protein, good carbs, and a little healthy fat. (not saturated fat)

You are craving sugar and fats. When you start cutting out these types of food you are going to go through withdrawls. I did when I started to lose weight 8 months ago. Sometimes just a taste will satisfy the craving however that canbe a slippery slope. I have protein shakes and bars that are lower in calories (about 100) and are chocolate so those help to satisfy the cravings.

Good luck

Here is my favorite lunch. You can mix up the meats some as too much tuna isn't healthy, so feel free to use lean ham, chicken, turkey, etc.

I toast 2 pieces of Oatmeal bread (like whole wheat just tastier),
Spread some Miracle Whip 'free' or 'light' on the bread,
Spread 3/4 of a can of tuna on top
A piece of fat free white american cheese
And for the real taste....2 Claussen 'Bread and Butter' sandwhich slice pickles.

Although there are a good number of calories there they come from the right places (meat, whole grains). These carbs have a lower glycemic index meaning your body will turn in them in to glucose (sugar) slower and less could be used for fat storage.

I'm a big guy and this meal keeps meal full for the afternoon....give it a shot!

here's a meal i like to make. It is composed of no processed nutrition. Plus, it somewhat is in elementary terms 593 energy: -a million cup entire wheat [pasta with blended greens, lean floor pork, and tomato sauce; a million cup blueberries; tossed salad with italian dressing. or you're able to try this (in elementary terms 589 energy): -6 ouncesbroief fish, a million/2 (a million/2) of a baked potato with low-fat bitter cream, tomato and cucumber salad with italian dressing, fruit salad and seltzer with lemon. in case you pick some ideas for breakfast (the breakfast menus have much less energy), then digital mail me.

seriously...don't worry about it
i'm also 17 and my friends and i complain EVERYDAY about our weight gain...it's really odd that we crave the exact same foods...i tend to have cravings at night so what i did is decide to distract myself, i'd stay away from the kitchen and go watch a movie or something like that and i did that for about a week and my habit kind of went away

If you are still growing, don't diet, just reduce the amount of what you already eat and increase physical activity, 30-40 mins a day of something that will increase your metabolism, if you go on a diet now you will never be able to stop.

Hi
This plan helped me fix a good eating plan for myself so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
