I got him to get on my hand when hes active any1 no how not to make him climb up on my neck? cuz when i offer another hand he tries to bite it & i have to get a family member to get him off me Should i get his nials clipped theyre very sharp If u have answered ny pf my q's b4 thnxs 4 da help. WHAT EXACTLY IS STEP UP TRAINING HOW DO U DO IT?

Its natural for cockatiels to climb on your shoulder...i have two of my own and they do the same thing and as far as your bird snaping at you when you try to get him off your shoulder,just keep forcing your finger under his breast and show him your not afraid of him...also make sure you dont have no jewery on the finger you want him to get on because they love shinny things...good luck

I have a bird just like that who'd stay on my shoulder for ever if I did try and get him off. I simply lower myself into his cage with my shoulder with him having to climb off of my shoulder once I lower him into the cage. Drives me crazy!
