I would think of it as _his_ baby, not mine. And why should a criminal get to become a parent? So, yes, I would abort.

well, since I have had some experience here:

No, I would not get an abortion because I feel that life is sacred. The Jewish law said that if 2 men were fighting and one of them hurt a pregnant woman and her child died, then the man was to die as well. So, even unborn lives are sacred to God. (Exodus 21:22-25)

And, I do not feel that it is the child's fault - the child is innocent of his/her father's crime.

But, if the person that became pregnant from a rape, because of the trauma involved cannot truly give that child the love that it needs and deserves, then there are other people out there who are unable to have children and would give that child those things, without prejudice to its parents - why not show human kindness to both the child and those who want to adopt and love the child -

the very human kindness that the rapist denied to you. Why should you be like him in any way?

No I wouldn't, I know a lot of people would. But whether you like it or not that is still YOUR baby, and if you get an abortion you are KILLING YOUR BABY. There is no way around that. I have always told my self no matter what, I will never get an abortion, when you do that you are taking somebodies chance to have a life. Even if I got pregnant now at 14 I would still keep my baby.

If I were raped I would take the morning after pill so that I wouldn't have the possibility of getting pregnant. If I did get pregnant anyways I would not have and abortion because it's not the child's fault and give it up for adoption if I didn't feel like I could raise it.

I believe that rape or serious medical complications for the mother(such as in eposide #119 of House MD, though I can't say how medically accurate the case was, I am just trying to use it as an example) are the only reasons for terminating a pregnancy, so if I were in such a situation, I would probably say yes, but of course I would pray on it first.

I am for having a choice. I have asked people if they would get an abortion if they were pregnant with the Antichrist. Most women said yes.

Wouldn't it be a little like blaming the result, for the action? In all intelligent consideration, the baby is not at fault, even as a reminder. Men have a problem with someone else having sex with their mate, but you might consider rape is not sex...it is violence and control!

For me, it's theoretical; sterile (had tubes tied). But would first try and do everything possible to disrupt pregnancy in earliest stages (thank goodness Plan B is now available as emergency drug). If that failed, yes, I'd terminate the pregnancy.

Imagine tracing your adoption records and finding out that your birth was due to a horrible, violent crime! Man, that'd be ghastly.

I would support a loved one's decision. As a side note to this question, I believe that this decision should be made by the woman involved and NOT the governement. Whether your are pro-life or pro-choice, it is YOUR choice and not the governement's!!!!!

It depends what the woman is feeling. If she feels positive energy she should have the baby because a blessing will come from a tradgedy. But on the other hand if she feels negative energy the baby will only remind her of a mistake and could cause emotional damage to her baby and self.

Absofuckinglutely.

Why? Because I don't want a reminder of a horrible crime perpetrated on my person. Because I would resent the very existence of the child. Because having a child - whether it was a product of rape or not - would most likely kill me, due to various medical problems. Because I would be a horrible parent. Because we're supposed to punish the rapist, not the VICTIM.

Because. It's. My. Choice.
