if you know this wont work please tell me how to put the 304 in i am completely lost

Don't do it! Your Jeep Cherokee Laredo is not designed for that much torque. First of all, you will need to weld new engine mounts on. Second, your Jeep frame will tend to twist with the extra power. My cause more problems than it fixes.

More than likely you will have to get the 304 mounts for the vehicle. Should be available at any auto parts store.

Both of the above answers are correct. You will need to purchase stock V-8 motor mounts for it, they can be bought at any parts store. The ones for the 6 cylinder are too long they were never intended for V-8s.

Once you have the new mounts set up on your engine, you have to make a engine false install try under the hood to mark the chassis supports for the mounts.
You'll have to remove the old supports in order to set up the new ones custom.
