Good Question, delves into the basic philosophy of what gives us the right?
I suppose if you say grace and thank not only God for the food you eat but thank the spirit of the animal also for giving their life so you could live, it would be all right.
i sometimes think about that while eating chicken, because I have a bird feeder in the back yard, do the birds know or care that I'm cooking a chicken on the grill?

as wrong as it is to wear leather shoes, or a leather belt or anyother leather clothing for that matter, whilst looking at a cow. just as bad to watch cows on the television whilst sitting on a leather sofa or driving buy a cow farm whilst sitting in ones leather seated car
