well all my life i have been taught that jesus was gods son.
ive even thought that maybe jesus was in heaven when god created earth. god said:let us(US) make man in our image.
obviously god wasnt alone.
but muslims believe that jesus was a prophet..yes the messiah too. he will come back. but not gods actuall son.
maybe its like all of us....we are gods children, but not genetically so to speak.
god did make mary concieve with child(jesus) but maybe he was 100% human.
he was the chosen one. the bible never says that we must beleive he is gods son to be saved...but we must believe in jesus.
i do!!!! 100% i do.
and even when john the baptist was baptising jesus..heaven opened god said: this is my son whom iam well pleased.
well so, maybe he is like gods adopted son.
the 2nd adam.
god loves us all. we are all his children. he created us all.
what do u all think>???
dont get offended. but their are so many religeions. we cant be 100% certain which is right.just believe in god.

I know that you wrote on your about me page that you are a babe in Christ, so I will try to answer simply for the somewhat complex questions that you wrote. First we can be 100% certain in the Word. Our spirit will line up EVERY time with the word if we are listening and knowledgeable. We should be looking up what a pastor or someone who is trying to teach us, and see if it lines up with the word. not taken out of context, but truly lines out with the Scripture.
It says in the N. Test. not to be blown by every wind of doctrine but be firm in the word.
Titus 1:9

9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
NIV

In John 1:1 it says that the word became flesh. Jesus was in a man's body, but still eternal. He knew that He was His Father
s ( I was about MY father's business). In saying that he was less is taking away from his diety. NOT like us who have been tainted by sin. We are the sons and daughters of Adam, human. In need of Jesus to be complete for what we were created for. To be in fellowship with God.

We are also only made sons of God, by the blood of Jesus, so how could he not be soveriegn? And yes God talked to Jesus from heaven, but He is a triune God, three individual but together as one.

I hope that you dig much deeper in the word, I see by your other questions that you have much in your life right now to deal with and understand. The only way to be set free, is in the truth of the Word, through Holy Spirit understanding.

If you want to contact me please do, be blessed in Jesus

Jesus is the Son, which means that Jesus Christ is God. Jesus is equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. All the thre are one God.

muslims do not believe in Jesus as we do. They say he is only a prophet like others, which is not true

Your thoughts resemble a certain heresy, but I can't remember what it was called. But read the first chapter of John's Gospel. Jesus was not just adopted. He is God. So yes, He was in heaven when God created earth, and He even helped create it. The Bible says we can only become God's children if we repent and ask to be adopted.

Also, saying "just believe in god" is very vague. If you asked random people what they pictured when they thought of God, you would get bearded angry men, storm clouds, a waterfall, a cool wind, etc. We cannot have any idols.

PAUL Really doesnt know anything about muslims. I am a muslim. Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet , and is always called Isa Masih(messiah) by Muslims. Masih means healer. A person is not a muslim if he does not respect Jesus. There are narrations of Jesus in Quran.

There are many arguments which show Jesus is not God. Espescially when he is being crucified, and Him asking the lord" Have thy forsaken me?" Why would he ask this , if he knew he was god!

Although my beliefs are different than yours, I like your open, inquisitive attitude toward religion. You're right that we can't know what is the absolute truth, we just have to let our faith lead us where it will without other people demanding we believe in a certain set of beliefs under the threat of eternal damnation. Peace to you.

Muslims do NOT believe that Jesus was the messiah. And you might want to look up what the word "messiah" meant in ancient times versus what it means today - they are not the same.

Be it literal or spiritual son, his teachings and his sacrifice are FAR more important.
