I think it's fine to go out with a guy 20 yrs older than you if that is what you want and you're both adults, although I must say if you're under 20 then you are a bit young and haven't really gotten to experience life yet, so be careful.
Honestly, once you reach adulthood, age really is just a number. It's how you feel about each other, how you treat each other, and if you share the same goals in life. Once you've gotten past the age stigma, the rest is just like any other relationship.
Me personally, I have always preferred guys that are at least 5 or more years older than me.
Good luck. Follow your heart.

It depends on how very young you are. If you are under 20, then no. You shouldn't get involved with someone that much older than yourself. He's already grown and you will be a totally different person 5 years from now...just imagine the changes you'll go through in 20. I think age is unimportant....IF the two people have a connection AND they are both legal...but you should also have a certain maturity level to make it work. It seems that you have doubts or you wouldn't post this question. If you decide to stay with him, don't have sex with him. Make him prove that he loves you for yourself and not the idea of being with someone so young. If he loves you, he'll wait for you...be careful, take care of yourself and good luck.

Disclaimer: I am older than you, probably by about 20 years or more. I have a skewed point of view. You need a younger man--you'll be happier in the long run. _However_, my grandmother and grandfather were 19 years apart and they were married until my grandfather died. They were from the "Old Country" (Middle East) and things are just different "over there" (they were Christian). Love doesn't know reason and it wastes wisdom in it's path--and there is no man on Earth who wouldn't drink its poison on the lips of a beautiful young woman. Be careful. Your relationship is _not_ impossible, though, I suggest. Take care, and may God go with you both.

First of all how old or I should say how young are you. Then I will just say don't rush into anything. There is no hurry to jump into anything serious. Just enjoy life and your time with him and when you are older you may feel the same or see him as just a good friend.

If you're under age 18, you're not in love with this guy - he just has you convinced that you are. He's a pedophile and a felon who hasn't been caught yet.
If you're just over 18, he's in the gray area where he's not breaking any laws, but you're going to get stared at a lot in public, so get used to it.

It all depends on your age. If you are legally an adult than it is all up to you. Don't listen to others because they won't be there to pay for your mistakes or get the benefits of the rewards.
