Don't drink so much booze. If you can't do that, drink a pitcher of water before you go to bed. You are feeling dehydrated when you are having a hangover, because you are. The best way to deal with a hangover is to prevent it from happening in the first place. You can also alternate your alcoholic drinks with non-alcholic drinks. One of my sisters told me the Spanish do this, and thus can party long into the night.

The obvious is- don't get drunk in the first place.
But to really avoid a nasty hangover, drink lots of water before, during & after you drink.
What causes hangovers is the dehydration effects that alcohol has on the body, mainly the brain.

I only drink heavily 3-4 times a year (special occasions), but when I get home I drink a LARGE glass of water before going to bed and I never get hangovers.

I've never had a hangover, and one of the things I do to avoid them is I never drink on an empty stomach. I always have a light, but absorbent meal before I head out...grilled chicken; sauteed veggies and rice. I also pace myself when I am drinking....never knock drinks back with reckless abandon. In short, I drink responsibly.

If you want to drink, first and foremost, do it responsibly. My brother in law was killed by a drunk driver two years ago.....to avoid a hangover, take two asprin before going to bed followed by at LEAST 8 oz. of water. When you wake up, if you feel even a little bit nasty, try this easy remedy...
6oz of clamato juice ( or any tomatoe juice will do) and fill the rest of glass with beer...add a little bit of pepper and garlic, and you should be good to go. It has been in my family for years, and it always worked for me. Try it out :)

serioiusly, hangovers are a byproduct of dehydration so drink lots of non alcoholic fluids before going to bed and upon waking up, try Gatorade

Dont drink is the most obvious way, but otherwise I dont mix drinks--what I start drinking is what I finish the night with (except for water), maybe an occasional shot but not often.

Trade secret
Drink a lot of water when you drink beer. I discovered this years ago and came to find out that it's true. I figured out that beer dehydrates the body and the brain. So one day I decided to chase my beer with water and ended up ALWAYS being fine the next day. Warning though....you pee like a banshee.
