The only reason I can think of that his penis would smell that bad is because he doesn't wash under his foreskin.
Try bringing the subject up with him sensitively. Ask him if he could wash if he knows your going to be making love.
Find out if he does wash. He might not even realise there's a problem. There might be a medical cause and if he is washing he should discuss this with his doctor.
'fraid you're just gonna have to try and discuss this with him. You might hurt his feelings but I doubt it. Just be nice about it. Perhaps say you'd like to go down on him more often but there's a little problem. That should make him sit up to attention (if you'll pardon the pun).

To not hurt his feelings, you can make it as fun, to put something delicious on his penis, like cream, or chocolate or bath foam; guess then you'll be able to suck. Good Luck

Why not build in some fun into proceedings by taking a sedy shower together and soaping him down and cleaning his pride and joy for him. Remark positively how you love it when he smells fresh and clean and how you love taking a shower with him.
If that doesn't do the trick then tell him direct.

I had one like that too! Didn't know what to tell him so I convienced him to take a shower with me and did it in the shower but the relationship didn't last very long so i never really had to tell him how bad it actually was!

Talk to him. Convince him to see a doctor. It could be an infection that causes the smell. If it is an infection, sucking it will pass the germs to u.

I think you should propose to take a shower everytime u begin fooling around, this way u can make SURE you're washing his penis correctly.

You should tell him that it smells! Its the only way out. On the other hand if you keep making excuses then he should freakin catch on sometime.

Maybe he doesn't clean it good. If he's uncircumcised tell him he needs to pull the skin back to keep it clean. And if he is circumcised then he needs to shower daily and wash it good. You may want to say to him that his penis has a odor to it and maybe he needs to clean good!

He needs to learn how to wash properly. Applying an antiseptic cream such as Salvon will erradicate any bacteria.
