It is just as easy to piss from under briefs.
Are there no trees in the school grounds? Sorry - couldn't resist.
I don't see his behaviour as a problem either.
Whilst I was a little boy, my mates & I would use all sorts of places to piss - it is just how it was; boys can do that.
When he gets to school he will very quickly adapt to the rules and regulations. Do not worry.
Incidentally, has there been a problem when you have visited other people's houses with him? I don't expect there was.

Long pants are a good idea. The playground monitor will let him know he can't pee outside when he is at school. What do you do when you take him somewhere? Try it at home.
We lived for some years in a country where all children peed out side and there were few places an adult could go. We had a problem for a while with our son peeing when we came home , but eventually he learned, probably due more to his peers than anything we did.
Don't worry too much, dear, it will work out ok.

Have a little talk with him about how if he did this at school he might get laughed at but really I wouldn't worry too much, as soon as he starts at school if he does try this, which is most unlikely, then the teachers will very kindly show him where the toilets are and I'm sure he won't again, most little boy's do things like this and he will settle down at school and be fine, don't worry and remember you have to let go.

I'm 48 years old and still pee in the woods. He is not stupid,he knows to pee in the toilet. He will be fine at school,he will have bathroom breaks and all his little friends are gonna pee in the bathroom , and so will he.If ya'll live in a country type setting, there is nothing wrong with the little fellow peeing out side by a tree.
My wife prefers me out by a tree.

My little boy pees outside too, when he started school he peed in the playground, the dinner ladies reminded him where the toilets were but didn't make a fuss. I think you are worrying about nothing,
all infant schools deal with things like this all the time I'm sure it wont be a problem.

Boys will be boys - as long as he is not peeing in the corners of the house (I have a friend whose son did this!!) then do not worry. Talk to him and let him know how you feel and you would prefer he goes in the house in the bathroom... regarding school - hey, if he does it and the kids laugh at him, well, that will solve it right there.

This is no big deal unless you make it one. Most boys do that, usually because they are having fun and don't want to bother going inside. I used to get in trouble for it all the time. What my parents didn't seem to understand is that when I had to go, it was RIGHT NOW! And we had 6 kids in the family and only one bathroom so it was usually occupied. My grandmother made me wear a dog collar all day once because she said I was acting like a little doggie. I doubt that he will do it at school.

well, here is the thing! my nephew, now 5 , if he is outside on occassion he will pee outside, not by my approval, but that find it very easy. now, i have put him out on the porch before, when he was about to wet his pants, and someone was in there, i would rather that, then to have to clean up pee everywhere. the chances are is the he probably won't do it when he is at school, but have a talk with him!

Normal behavior and not a problem. He will soon learn that it isn't appropriate at school. For example, I had a cousin that used foul language, so I asked the parents about it. They turned to the 6 year old and asked "What are the rules about cussing?"
His instantaneous reply was "you don't cuss at school, granny's house or when we have company."
