Alcohol is not a carbohydrate.
Whiskey is distilled and thus contains zero carbs.

It does however contain calories (about 65 per oz.)
So, don't be fooled. Saying whiskey has no carbs is like saying a candy bar has no fat. True, but they'll both pork you up.

In spite of the marketing that low-carb foods help you lose weight--or, indeed, that they are "health foods"--there's no evidence to this. Particularly not when it comes to beer, wine, and liquor. Alcoholic beverages have calories because alcohol has a lot of calories--not because of carbs. Low-carb beers, wine or carb-free spirits will make you fat.

A mix of Jack and diet cola will have at most 1 carb
Other Answers:
Zero, hard liquor is carb free BUT not calorie free. The previous two are right, no carbs in alcohol. But if you drink you might blow off the Atkins and eat a big pizza. Who cares! if you buy it I will drink it , cheers

The best answer has a flat out lie in it. Low carb diets consistently in scientific studies correlate with weight loss. Not only that but the process is understood, it's not just a correlation. Specifically things that cause high insulin levels in the blood cause weight gain because insulin increases fat retention, and prevents release of fat.

You can read about a collection of scientific studies that contradict Bob B's baseless assertion here: http://www.dietdoctor.com/science

Alcohol is, itself, a carbohydrate. It elicits insulin response and therefore weight gain.
