I LIKE DEAD STRAIGHT HAIR, but with VOLUME?

HOW DO U DO THAT! I WANT MORE VOLUME BY MY ROOTS AND STRAIGHT HAIR AT THE BOTTOM, BUT I KNOW PPL WILL SAY "ONLY STRAIGHTEN UR ENDS'' BUT THEN THE "STRAIGHTENING LINE IS VISIBLE.

I'm sure this works because I have very fine hair and after much experimenting have found this is by far the best way to get volume in your hair. Depending on the length it takes about 20 minutes or a bit longer.

1. Buy a volumizing product and just put it in your roots so it doesn't weigh down the rest of your hair.
2. Blow dry your hair with your head up side down and your hair flipped over.
3. Then straighten it from the roots down.
4. In order to tease it first put most of your hair in a clip leaving the bottom layer free. Tease the roots gently and spray them with a light hair spray. Then repeat that as often as you like doing the same to additional layers as you move up to the crown of your head.
5. Once you finish teasing up to the crown take a fine toothed comb and gently brush over your hair in order to smooth it out a bit on top so it doesn't look messy.
6. If you want use a frizz reducing spray to give it a sleeker look.

I have wavy curly hair. I always wanted straight hair. back when i was a teenager. we ironed our hair on an iron board. We used Juice cans. the real b ig ones. You can blow dry. and then take your hair and wrap it sideways around your head and use clips to keep it their for a few hours.. Today if I were you. I would blow dry. then set it giant rollers while still damp. let dry. that will give you the volume. then just use a electirc straightening device to comb the ends straight. It is a lot of work. but we all did it all when we went out. I finally got tired. and got a perm. very lose, and everyone loves it. easy. jump into shower. shake fingers thr4ough it and it looks great. it is long. ,,,,, i also bought a wig. itchy and messy. ,,, i do not like straightening chemicals. they do burn your hair. and if you use a straightening brush with it, your hair will surely break off. and in a year you will have total frizz. Some people use a perm solution and use it to straighten, just keep combing straight. now they have a new way. with foil. ,, good luck... i hope I helped

U need to go 2 a salon & purchase a root lifter (such as Amplify by Matrix). Only apply 2 ur roots. Dry roots 1st & lift them while doing so. Can also dry them in opposite direction u intend 4 them to lay. When style's complete u can lift roots & spray w/ aerosol hairspray. U'll also need straightening products (such as Sleek by Matrix). U'll apply the cream beyond roots b4 drying. Spray on Iron Smoother b4 straightening. Finish w/ Sealing Serum or Straight Polish. Ur right that u will need 2 iron from roots 2 end but w/ what I've just told u root volume can be acheived.

Products you should use are volumizing products. I would also try a root lifter (product) in your hair. When you get your hair cut next time ask for a bit of texturizing closer to the head. The short hairs will untimately lift the longer hairs giving you volume. Also backcomb/ frenchlace/ how most call it tease a bit by your roots. It will look like a mess at first so take a pick and comb out ever so slightly the top to make it look smooth. You can also ask your hairdresser to demonstrate next time. Good luck

DO NOT GET LAYERS!! LAYERS MAKE UR HAIR FLATTER AND THINNER LOOKING....if you want volume get styling products designed to add more body,have a blunt cut straight across ur ends.while hair is wet use a volumizing spray and blow dry with a diffuser,with ur head turned upside down,then flip back up brush it downward and finish styling.this will increase the body.

Well. I straighthen my hair as my hair looks like an uncontrollable mane. 6 months later, it is still straight but all volumed up due to the uncontrollable features of my hair. So yeah, I can't help you with this. This depends on the nature of your hair.

to get volume in your hair at the roots .. blow dry the roots the opposite way than your hair falls and just the root.. it gives instant volume at the top of your hair xx

Use a volumnizing shampoo and conditioner. Follow up with a root lifter.

get layers cut into your hair, it makes it look fuller and more volume, then slightly curl out the ends of them when you blow dry it
