If you love someone you want to show them in different ways, like having sex. If that person is afraid, then you love them enough to NOT have sex until they are ready. If you are not ready, do not let him convince you to have sex. If he truly loves you he will respect you and wait.

You shouldn't have sex unless your want to and are ready. He should understand this and if he doesn't then get rid of him. But you have to explain to him your reasons so he wont think that you don't want him since he obviously bases his part of the relationship on sex
