It's so wrong,so egotistical to think that our idea of "GOD" had something to do with the creation of this incredibly complex and beautiful planet and universe. We are just part,of the cycle of life and lucky just to be alive.....soon science will be number 1 in all eyes, when the world starts hurting, with bad air and bad water. Then there will be no GOD,just pure fact for all to realize.....we must help ourselves.....tom science

I know that God exists because of my own experiences with God.

I was worshiping at this church once, a very charismatic church, well I was kind of down because I didn't care for the singers suddenly as I was just singing along it hit me.

The Holy Spirit just totally almost knocked me off my feet, I almost fell over I had no control over my body, then I just started weeping and weeping... that's how no one can ever tell me there isn't a God, there are other experiences too, but that's the most profound.

Gods and God exist because people fear the unknown. We dont remember pre-birth and death we cannot contemplate not BEING. If we REALLY knew for a fact there was NOTHING before and after...we would not have a reason for living...especially if our life was not comfortable or happy (though that begs questioning as so many tribes never had a God of any sort but they still couldnt envisage not BEING anymore in some capacity). The survival/procreation mechanism within all living things makes us stick around as long as we have. Viruses dont even have a brain but they find ways to exist, even while we find ways to destroy them.

Even as things become MORE known due to science....its still within human nature to cry out for help from above, someone or something that knows more than we do. Sure....there may come a day when God/s are overuled and seen as an outdated idea due to humans own lack of self esteem.

Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, lepracauns, aliens, ghosts...may very well go the way of the do-do bird. We know Santa doesnt exist but have carried on that tradition for ages...why? And why does it feel so good...because it brings people togther in love, caring, a shared milestone in ones life...joy or sadness...EMOTION?

It will be very sad when and if that happens because so much magic will be lost and empathy/hope may be too. Creativity, procreativity and exploration is hard work and demands much of humans...it keeps us busy. To lose the magic means we may get socially totally depressed and unable to see a reason to GROW anymore. The reason we have gotten so far is due to faith in humankind and/or a higher being and because we have a tiny doubt that THIS is all there is.

Children are VERY hard work...so the inbuilt love thing is imperative or they would die....from lack of attention/feeding etc. End of the human race. Adults need to believe more than anyone...or they will cease to care. Children get those beliefs handed down to them...a gift to help them survive as happily as there parents want for them...or not if they have emotionally damaged parents.

God is love? Yes....maybe. God created the earth......who knows but its doubtful? Humans created Gods/God.....because they dont know why things happens. Animals dont ask or find out because their brains dont work the same way. Why not? God knows....lol.

I think the universe, nature and the design of the human body all attest to the fact that everything was created and not just happened into existence.
Long before man knew what gravity was or before man knew the word gravity, the bible described gravity. Longitude and latitude was also described before their was a word for it. The cells multiplying and dividing and the genetic design was also described in the sentence " before I was born you knew me as I was being woven together in my mother's womb."

The biblical accounts relate to science and scientific discoveries often boost biblical accounts. The bible gives many accounts of large beast and refers in many places to the ancient ones. Men of old. The Psalms gives great understanding to nature and the creation of it. And we were required to nurture the earth and care for it. We are doing a poor job of it. Our fault not anyone or anything Else's'.
I hope you will read my sources with an open and scientific mind. Good Luck

Why did chemicals react in such a way as to form life? Although we can recreate the conditions of a primordial earth we can not reproduce life from the chemicals that life uses without using preexisting building blocks of life. There is too much structure and elegance in the universe for all of it to be happenstance. I trust science as well and do not think they conflict just as many scientists believe. The fact that you feel the need to pick one or the other says volumes for your studies of one or the other of these subjects.

You are so wrong. If science iss so greeat then why have they not figured out how to stop the ozone depletion or the glaciers frommelting or stop the hurriacanes, earthquakes, tsunami's, drought, flooding, tornados, ice storms, and more. If they are so great why can they not control God's nature that He created. Because they are mere mortal men and do not have the intelligence needed to overthrow God. Bettr luck next time.

I think god exist because I think.
I don't conform to any religion because I find most of them hypocritical. So my belief in god is pure not defined by a priest or book. My belief in god is thus :when I'm angry who do I cry out to? who do I blame? God, because if feel him there. when im alone or in dire need. Who do I beg? Who do I talk to? God, because I just know. When I have a great day or fall in love? Who do I thank? Who do I praise? God, because the world is to beautiful to have been created by chance. The faithless cannot comprehend believing in God. Because believing in god is an act of pure faith. I believe in God because it feels right and I just know without reason.

God do indeed have a part to play, but not entirely. Just as you have a part to play with animal lives such as your pet, for example. Do you not make it possible for it to have food and other things? To the pet, you may well be its God, for lack of another word to describe your understanding. Take care.

Just where do you think life comes from? Try to trace it back to it's source. It has to a superior being, like God. Life did not just sprang up out of nowhere. Someone is responsible for creating it.

I think that believing in God could not be more unegostistical. Faith defies common sense but exists anyway. As a tree hugger myself, in the not so distant future it could be too late to repair our enviornment. I did not vote for this president who will be remembered for the damage he allowed to our enviorment.
