that God wants us to use correct spelling at all times? Therefore, misspellings are a sin?

(NOTE: This question is inspired by a number of Y!Answers users right here on the R&S board who have repeatedly said, "God gave us science." So if you think it's a stupid question, it's partly their fault.)

Yes, misspellings are a huge sin!
Although, God did not speak or write in English.
So speaking or writing in English is probably a sin too!
(lead by example).
I guess america is indeed not worthy (the only noteworthy
prophet to show here is Mr. Smith).
Gosh, what a bummer!

Mmmmm... if misspelling is a sin, then there are a hell of a lot of sinners on Yahoo Answers.... some of the writing is quite shocking, even for a non-english national like me...

but as long as the meaning gets through properly, i dont think god would have a problem with some misspelled words here & there.

I wasn't going to answer this, until I read where someone said science goes against God. NO IT DOES NOT!!!!. I don't think it is a stupid question, but I have to wonder how many of them use spell checker? Many people refuse to use the tools God gave us.

God gives humans brain and knowledge, and a big big universe we can live on. In depends on humans to invent, use, and to make things. God gives humans ability to learn, to research, and to solve the mystery of the universe. That's science that God gave us. God wants humans find it themselves, with the reseources He hath given. If human use it for un-Godly purposes (bombs, guns, anthrax, etc.) it FULLY dependant on human. God give free wills to human. It depends to human whether he want to use it correctly or not.

About that spell-checker, missspellings definetly aren't a sin, because it is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

Well pin a rose on your chest!

La tee da! Lookit little miss perfect.

I don't worry about things like that. I happen to love my mistakes. They are what ground me, and remind me that no matter how great I may get to believing I am... There is always someone there to knock you down and make you feel little and in perspective again. (you're quite good at it by the way)

Perspective... meaning that nothing we do while on earth in lieu of spelling and grammar will get us any closer to emotional or spiritual evolution. OBVIOUSLY... and that is what, and all that matters in the end.

I bet amelioration makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it? Someone has to be the matronly whip stick perfectionist... may as well be you?

Personally, I like people like you. You serve a purpose in the big scheme of things. It serves to remind us all not to be so pretentious. You are like a store mannequin, we get to see through people like you, what it looks like on, before we actually get caught sporting something that is ill fitting and quite obnoxious.

Thanks! now, I have given you something to do... count up the mistakes. Have fun!

i love the question! I don't think that mistakes are sins, so a misspelling would not be considered a sin.

god gave us free will and a brain.
whether we exercise it or not, is OUR fault.
he let us create the spell check and hasn't removed it from us. not to say he wants us to use it.... like our brains....
