I use warm. Hot can inflame your gums too much and you wouldn't use cold water to wash your dishes to get the junk off them, so why would you use cold water to clean your plaque/bacteria-filled mouth?

I use warm water to rinse my mouth out. My teeth are sensitive to cold water. I use hot water to rinse my toothbrush when I'm done.

I use cold water. Hot or warm water wears the enamel off your teeth more.

I don't know that one is better than the other, but think about it at the dentist office they always give you room temperature (warm) water to rinse your mouth with.
