Yes you could, but the chances that you are not pregnant are slim to none. Keep in mind, these home pregnancy tests don't have brains they are not 100 percent accurate. Which is why you must go take the test at your doctors office to confirm. Congratulations, I hope you embrace this amazing experience that some people never get the chance too.

false negatives are more common than false positives. for the test to register positive, there had to have been some of the pregnancy hormone. if it was a false negative on the other hand there might have just not been enough of the hormone (like you took the test too early or not first thing in the morning)
go to your doctor or clinic and get a blood test, they are more accurate, then you will have peace of mind either way.
good luck

A long time ago, i had , had a false positive, Sometimes the hormones act up,,when we are stressed, But go to the doctors and have a blood test done. It is the best way to know for sure. Good luck. I Hope it turns out the way you want it to be

Its rare. I had a false positive, but it was only because it was still so early, it was hard for the test to be sure. I knew it was a positive and a later test confirmed I was pregnant. So if you are getting differing readouts, might go for a blood test. You could have implanted and miscarried all before your next period. It can happen.

Nope sorry. A preg test detects a specific hormon you develope when pregnant it can't be a false postive the only way it can be positive and ur not preggers is if you recently miscarried. it should say it right on the box but if you want to be 100% sure go to doc. Congradulations!

I think false positives are extremely rare. If the hormones are there to detect, it's almost a sure thing you're pregnant, whereas with a false negative, you might just not have enough hormones to register yet.

If your hormones are elevated enough to show you are pregnant then you probably are! Congratulations! But to be really sure, retest in a week or make an appointment for a blood test. You will need to be seen by a doctor soon anyway. The sooner you go in, the sooner they can keep track of you and your little one. Drink lots of filtered water, eat your veggies and fruit and take your vitamins.

I have only experienced false negatives. From what I've heard that is usually the only false result. I have five kids so you can only imagine how many I have taken.

I'm sure it's possible, depending on where you are in your cycle. However, you can take another test in a couple of days, or better yet, make an appointment with your doctor.
