The deeper I get into the Bible and its history, the more I believe.

Personally I research it, but sadly many christians, catholics, whatever faith, only listen to what they are told the Bible says, and never doubt the word of the one in church telling them that. Often times the interpretation that person gives is not correct. Selectively choosing what suits someones wants or needs is why there are so many religions - someone didn't like that so they broke off into a new religion and ignore that part. It's much easier for a person to change their religion than to change themselves.

i suppose some do. i myself have read the bilble 3 times, each time understanding it differently. but research is always a personal selective. i do like researching people and applying my help to them accordingly. remember, Jesus did't have a bible. the bible is the manuel to life. just like a computer has its own manul so does life have its own manuel, so feel good about referring to the bible at different instances of your life...

No! I study theology and a lot of time and work is given to analysis of the text and the historical background! The key word is CONTEXT.

Probably the closest to being true Christians..

Depends on the curiosity of the person. Some are happy to keep their faith simple and others need to know as much as possible to strengthen theirs

Yes, and the scriptures tell us to study to show ourselves approved, and to rightly divide the word of truth. We are to study.

I sincerely doubt it. Why should they have to, it's not like their religion forces them to make sacrifices.
