I'm pretty fiesty, so they'd better watch out. If it's physical, I'd call the cops, and arrest their asses.

Depends what kind of hurt you mean.
I can only think of 2 basic types: emotional & physical.
What I would do if I was hurt physically?
As I believe the justice system is weak & corrupt I would deal with it myself, an eye for an eye.
What I would do if I was hurt emotionally?
The justice system is not geared to handle these situations, despite what they say, so I would also deal with it myself, an eye for an eye.

Do you mean someone like a boyfriend? If so, dump them immediately no exception.
Otherwise...
Enemy - look into restraining orders (or maybe kick butt)
Friend - make sure they weren't serious
Family - Tell mommy and daddy... or social services
Stranger- then you just got mugged, you can take it to the police or become a hermit
