Okay, I want to see if I can create the kinda eruption you see coming out of the diet coke bottles, from my mouth instead. Would I have to keep the diet coke in my mouth, then throw the mentos in and just wait?

Watch the video: Did he just fall down, or did he get bodily thrown by the reaction taking place inside his stomach? I can't tell... Did he get anything worse than a bruise on the head? Or did anything get messed up on the inside? I'm not scared of bruises, cuts, or anything like that, but stuff like ruptures freak me out.

Take a closer look, suckers and turn the sound off. It looks to me as though he doesn't swallow any of the stuff but, rather, just closes his mouth enough to create a tight exit for the 'eruption'. The falling and patter are contrived. I only hope the stunt doesn't inspire any children to swallow either the Mentos or the Diet Coke, attempting to duplicate the stunt; inside the stomach it could cause real problems. As for adults...you ought to know better.

well I would be careful if your going to try it
diet coke and other sodas like pepsi burn your digestive tract... so you would have bad digestion problems and might have acid build-ups
mentos will give you cavities because of sugar
but TOGETHTER...
mentos react very quickly to diet coke and will cause a release of carbon dioxide (or CO2) stored in the soda. the bubbles of CO2 quickly turn into a angry, raging foam, and the pressure builds dramatically until the insides of your stomach are compressed until they may explode.
p.s. 2 liters of soda and 4 mentos creates a huge explosion.

they did this on myth buster. The guys put pop rocks and coke in a cow stomach and the cows stomach blew up! I wouldn't try it if I were you.
