I don't know... I definitely think there's a good chance that there's life elsewhere, and complicated life at that... but that doesn't mean that life elsewhere is like life here. They could very well have completely different chemistry and biology... and of course, they could be far less or far more advanced than we are... but I think there's a good chance that the God idea is one that is likely to take place in any society given 2 circumstances... that the beings have consciousness as we humans do, and that they are not super-advanced scientifically... because God is only really needed (in my opinion) to explain things, and science fills that void rather nicely.

is that the only explanation possible?
Christians obviously believe in intelligent life other than humans, since they believe in spirit beings in heaven, to wit: God, Jesus, and the other angels.
Could there be other reasons for God to have created so much, that he has not explained to us yet? The Bible only gives man's history, and a short glimpse into the future, at the most a 1,000 years after the abyssing of Satan the Devil, which has not happened yet, OBVIOUSLY!
Revelation speaks of more scrolls being opened after that - so more information is there, but just not available to humans yet. To try to surmise what that information is, would be to run ahead on our own. If we believe in God, we will have to wait on his timing.
If you don't, and do not wish to investigate the Bible, then you will just have to see what happens. Eventually, the answers will be very clear. Maybe sooner than any of us think.
For those of us who do believe in God and the Bible - and question which religion is the true one - or feel we have found it and are sure we have thoroughly researched it,
then the future will prove us right or wrong, so why criticize others for what they believe.
One can share their beliefs with others without belittling the other person or their beliefs, can't they?
And, I don't mean to just spout off what they were taught, but to give the scriptural references for what they believe - if they are able to (if they aren't maybe they should find out)

Who do you think made the universe? Those that are out there on other planets know who did it and who to worship and they see Him all the time. God is not so small that He cannot do what He wants to do or be in other places that we only dream about. We are the ones that are so small and weak, yet we think we are so mighty. An ant thinks he is mighty too, till he gets stepped on by us.

people always think of the vastness of space, how about looking at the vastness of smaller molecules- perhaps atoms- protons neutron and electrons orbiting as planets in a solar system- you cant quantify but the potential is limited onlt by your imagination or how powerful microscope we have!!

i believe the same as u. how arrogant that the people on this planet think that this imaginary god put 2 people to breed a whole race that all look different? plus they think that we so special that there no one as smart as the human race. or even close. the smart ones would not want any thing to do w/us. for all we are ,we are barbarians.

I don't think intelligent life would be religious. Deer and possums don't revere anything, so I assume god belief is a human characteristic only.
