I can only repeat what I told you previously.....The Truth....!
Once again I see you have been answered by various explanations and the usual points scorers. Satan will just love you, if you are trying to prove his existence. I will get straight to the point, God is the answer to your every need, why people are so afraid beats me. You are very much afraid of death, so why not look for life and life Eternal.
Once you put your trust in Jesus Christ, sincerely ask Him into your life, you will soon have more than enough to prove the existence of both GOD and satan. Satan will throw everything in his power to cast doubts on you. I can testify honestly, that I have experienced the demonic devices the devil has used to destroy my life, but as an ex-soldier and a Born-Again-Christian, I have had experiences that prove without a doubt that if God did not exist, I would not be here to answer your question.
Psalm 14 verse 1 "The fool says in his heart, there is no God" If you ask Christ to guide you, He will never let you down, and remember God is the Creator of all that exists. It is by people who have turned away from God that the world is in such a mess. However, Jesus will come again soon, and as I look at the world and human nature all around, I know He's coming soon. Be perpared, get yourself Christian help and guidance from really good Christian scourses. There are many Christian websites to help you out.
But I have seen Satans angels, something I cannot etch from my mind, it was the most frighting event in my life, but I glory in God because He has Saved me and his Angels watch over me all the time. The Lord delivered me from the devils clutches. Don't listen to the people who constantly persist that there is no God or no devil. Satan may be a mighty foe, but Praise The Lord, God is ALMIGHTY.

The false concept of imagery concerning the fire and brimstone of eternal hell is a more then obvious concoction of Abrahamic religious doctrine.
To understand things as they are, you have to realise that you are an eternal spirit soul, a spiritual person that, due to mis-use of free will decided to leave the real world, the eternal spiritual world.
Real love cannot be forced, so as soon as the individual soul decides to exist separately from God, then the pure consciousness becomes covered or shrouded in illusion by the separated energies of the Supreme, there are five gross energies and three subtle energies that constitute the gross material and subtle bodies, which is awarded to suit the mentality that is developed by influence of the three modes of material nature.
This is a serious science, a spiritual science that has been handed down in a 5,000 year old chain of disciplic succession, as your question contains significant intelligence to see the falsity of the transparent "scare tactic" of a horned demon with a pitchfork, can I recommend that you purchase one copy of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is translated from Sanskrit into English by HDG A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead himself, Sri Krishna.

You're forgetting that the Bible describes things in language people can relate to. So the lake of fire just means incredible suffering. Hell is total, complete and permanent separation from God...and the awareness of that separations' total completeness and permanence. I think when we die we see things from a different perspective than our limited minds can do in the here and now...so those separated from God will become fully aware of what they're missing and how simple it would have been to accept Him and enjoy His presence, with all that entails.
BTW the whole "pitchfork" idea came from Disney's "Fantasia"....I don't think I'd take many ideas on theology from old Walt, if it were I.

You don't really want to know or to find out. This is not a physical thing you are talking about. It is spiritual. Hell is a spiritual dimension. Hell is eternal separation from God. The human soul/spirit was made to love, obey, honor, glorify, fellowship with and enjoy God now and forever. To not be able to do all that would be hell enough. I can't imagine, and wouldn't want to, what it be like in an eternity being without God. That would be hell indeed.

Hell is very real!!!! So is the devil. Why some people are facinated with him and worship him i'll never know except out of ignorance. Jesus is the way my friend. I can't really answer your question except to say that the reason you would feel the pain of hell is because you are a sinner and have not accepted Jesus into your heart. Don't let anyone fool you! This is real! Jesus loves all people but we have to accept His free gift of savation by asking Him into our hearts, repenting of our sins and asking for Him for His salvation. Let your final destination be with Jesus in Heaven. If you were to die today where would you go? Ask God for forgivness now! No where your destiny lies. This is coming from someone who cares where your soul lies. Take care and e-mail me if you need any help.

On the last day there will be the ressurection of the body(those who are dead anyway!) Then comes judgement. Those who have loved much and lived right will go to their reward, and those who haven't;will go to their reward.
Body and soul will be reunited.
It is thought that the soul will suffer most from it's seperation from God.
"So do not be afraid of people; rather fear God who can destroy both body and soul in hell" 1 of the Gospels.
Read children of Fatima's account of a vision of hell if you want. GOOD QUESTION.

The lake of fire completely destroys the devil and all it's followers....consumed to exsist no more (eternally). If satan lived forever to torment people than Jesus would not be the victor over evil.

the soul will feel the pain similar to when you burn your finger , do it now with your lighter match whatever. it hurts yes? now as your body is like a sheild to your soul and the pain you feel now here in your life is not "unbearable" when it does reach its peak you will passout.
when one is in hell and suffering, there are many punishments according to what you do in your life, there is no physical shield therefore its exaggerated more agonising, only you dont passout. it happens over and over and over again.

I like pythagorean's answer. The essence of Hell is lack of God's presence; here on Earth, god is always and everywhere present but in Hell there is no God, and we do not know what that will produce except what is in the Bible. But it will be horrible beyond anything any of us have ever experienced.
