What is the standard asking fee I should ask my client to pay me? I'm a stay at home mother of two who will be watching a child of less than 1 year old. I was thinking 8 dollars/hr. is this too little? too much?

Too Much! For In Home Care On A Regular Basis It's Around $3.00-$6.00 Unfortunately. You Could Opt For A Flat Rate Of Between $50.00 And $150.00 A Week.

If you are going to be watching the child several hours a week you should pick a flat rate. Most women charge 125-175 a week.

If you work 8 hours a day for 5 days a week you'd be charging 450 a week. I think at that rate the mother may try and find a different child care provider.

If you were 15, I would say $5/hr. But because your not 15, I think $8/hr is reasonable.

depends on if you will be keeping the child every day, then you need to give her a weekly rate, not per hour, but if it's just for an hour or so, then do the hourly rate of $8.

I pay a 16y/o that same amount $8. I would ask for $10. You have far more experience than a teenager!!!

in Quebec it is illegal to charge more then 5$ a day for daycare. that way it ensures that every child will receive the same level of care

It strikes me as being reasonable, just off the top of my head.
