The story of Adam and Eve is the story of mankind, not just two people. Adam and Eve stood for mankind in general.

All the families of the earth originated with Adam and Eve. Therefore, Cain's wife was either a sister, niece, or great niece. While laws against marriages between close relatives would later be put in place, such marriages were necessary in the early years of man's existence.

Some read the Genesis account and are left with the impression that Cain, Abel, and Seth were the only children Adam and Eve had, but Genesis 5:4 says plainly that Adam "had sons and daughters." No doubt, Cain's wife was one of Adam's daughters or granddaughters.

That is not true. The also had daughters, but the bible does not speak about women much. It focuses mostly on the men. Adam and Eve's sons married their sisters. It was allowed back then in order to populate the earth until God was satisfied with the number of the population.

Adam and Eve had 2 sets of twins. One: Cain and a twin sister; the other set: Abel and another twin sister.

Allah commanded Adam to tell his children to marry in the following way -hope I don't confuse you.

Abel was to marry Cain's twin sister; Cain was to marry Abel's twin sister. That way the "closeness" between them wasn't as much. As we all know, twin brothers and sisters are genetically closer than any other siblings.

This is another reason Cain hated Abel. Cain wanted his own twin sister for himself because she was more beautiful than Abel's. This created more hatred and envy inside of him towards his brother Abel; which eventually led him to commit the very first murder of humanity.

In Islam we are taught that, on the Day of Judgment, Cain will not only have his own brother's murder, but also all of humanities. So every murder committed by mankind will also be as if he had committed it.

However, the previous doesn't mean that the people actually committing the murders get away with it! Murder is the second gravest sin!

Hope that clarifies your question! :)

I have encountered an answer from someone that when Adam and Eve were expelled from Paradise, they met other people that God created after them. Freaky for a Catholic like me but I sure remembered that thing when I read your question. Try to research more about what I said. I'm sure it wasn't only one person who said that.
