If you have a local pet store, they have the ear mite medicine ( i've even seen it in grocery store - pet section) This is your puppy's problem. What you do is place 1 or 2 drops on the ear (2 times a day)(not opening ear canal) and take the flap to the ear and rub it close to their head. this also helps relieve the itch feeling and will clear away the passage of other mites. make sure you wash your hands really good afterwards as mites are real small and can collect under fingernails easily and can pass onto other objects. (they sorta looks like the size of pepper grains)LOL

if could be a number of problems, and its definately something that really cannot wait for 2 weeks as it will get worse and u may find that ur dog needs a sedation and an ear clean to get all the muck out if u wait too long. It could b ear mites, a grass seed (Which only the vet will b able to see), a basic ear infection....which ever they are all very uncomfortable for him. Try using a basic ear cleaner, avail from pet and vet stores. Lift the ear flap up straight, insert the bottle at the top of the ear and squirt....while keeping the ear help up, massage undernearth, and then with a tissue wipe away any muck that comes to the surface. Remember the inner ear is an L shape.

Definately sounds like ear mites. You can buy ear mite cleaning solution in any pet store, and most grocery stores in the pet care aisle. Usually in the same section you'd find flea remedies. Read and follow the directions carefully, your beagle will thank you.

It sounds like mites. Or did you bathe the dog and get water in it's ears? In either case, by the time 2 weeks rolls around your poor dog will have a bad infection from scratching and will have suffered needlessly. Please take the dog in now.

your puppy may have ear mites, get some ear mite drops and use them for 10 days and see if this helps, may not have to take him to the vet if this works.

Go to Pet Smart or another pet store and get ear wipes or ear cleaner for him to soothe his poor ears until you see the vet....Does his ears stink? I had to get cleaner for my dog. It works great....Her ears smelled like rotten sausage before I cleaned them....There may be a chance he has ear mites.....Good luck!

Your beagle has something going on that requires medical attention now. Do "not" wait 2 weeks. Call your vet again and if they can't get him in now let them know you are taking to another as this is urgent and he is suffering and can't wait.

Good Luck.

Probably mites. Try to find another vet to take him too. He should not suffer for two more weeks.
