I guess it's a matter of what you believe. I am a Christian but I have always thought of a ouija board as nothing more than a gimmick...a parlor trick at best. I've heard the stories of some who in response to a belief that they are truly demonic have thrown them into a fire and claim to hear screams. I can't really say for sure what the truth is, but I always try to keep my faith as separate from mythology as possible. Still, I personally don't like having in my home the trappings of paganism. I once wanted to buy what I thought was a neat looking exotic statue only to find out it was a hindu deity. I soon changed my mind about the purchase. I feel the same about budhas, though they can fit in with an oriental decor.

I would never own a ouija board again. My 2 cousin's and I used to play with one all the time when we were kids. And are parents made us throw it in a burn barrel because after we started using it alot of bad things started happening in the house. Not a good thing to have in the house. After that our parents had out house blessed and things did stop but still to this day I get weird feelings about it. But I can also see your point of view every one has their own feelings and experiences and everyone's are different. I might keep it around but I think if anything did start to happen I'd probably get rid of it.

Yes, of course they're safe in your home. It's a board game--cardboard, wood and plastic. I guess it could be dangerous if you tried to bludgeon someone with it, but even then it probably wouldn't do much damage.
People will tell you it's a tool for communicating with demons, but those same people also believe in white-sheeted ghosts haunting houses, witch-doctors casting spells on people and Freddy Krueger's claw hand haunting their dreams. In other words, you shouldn't pay any attention to people who'll believe any superstitious story someone tells them, or any silly movie they see.

I don't see how a black and white piece of cardboard can make a great ornament, but it should be safe unless you start hearing things go bump in the night.

Ouija boards were first manufactured in Greensboro, North Carolina. They are as harmless as Bingo unless you believe that they can tell the future. Do you remember the 8 ball?

Do NOT use a bloody ouija board. Those things are probably one of the most dangerous occult items out there....
Remember, most stories of when occultist screw up royally usually starts with the words....
"We were screwing around with a ouija board and...."
One of the few times I'm being deadly serious...

I urge you, as strongly as I know how, not to dabble or get involved in anything to do with occult practices, including this one. At best, they are deceptive and fraudulent; at worst, they can involve you in matters which are satanic in origin.
"The Bible is very clear that such things are false and will only lead you away from God and His truth. In the Old Testament God commanded, 'Let no one be found among you ... who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord' (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
"The Bible urges us to turn in faith to Christ and to seek the truth He has given us in the Bible. God's Word alone gives us spiritual truth; any other path will lead us astray. Occult practices will never tell us with finality what is beyond the grave, but because of His resurrection we can know from Christ everything we need to know."
It is critically important for anyone who has been involved in this or any other occult practice to confess it to God as a sin, renounce the practice, and turn to Jesus Christ for His forgiveness, cleansing and protection. Consultation with a Gospel-preaching pastor may be wise. A book such as "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil Anderson has been helpful to many. It would be available through a Christian bookstore

Yes, because it's just a board game. These things have been debunked time and time again. Enjoy playing with it though. When taken lightly, they are fun to enjoy with friends on a Halloween night!
