As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Corinthians 3:18b(NLT)
Created to become like Christ is a long, slow process of growth. Spiritual maturity is neither instant nor automatic;it is a gradual, progressive development that will take the rest of your life. Referring to this process, Paul said, "This will continue until we are... mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him" Ephesian 4:13 (CEV).
You are a work in progress. You spiritual transformation in developing the character of Jesus will take the rest of your life, and even then it won't be completed here on earth. It will only be finished when you get to heaven or when Jesus returns.

First of all, pay no attention to the Bible Thumpers who have not had any experience at all except to read something. To have read about the history of spokes hardly qualifies one to ride a bicycle, right?
I have had two direct experiences with The Ineffable Light. Once in a flotation chamber and the other right after a motorcycle accident. And yes, I am sure of what I experienced: no one or nothing could fake that much Love and Acceptance. Later I found that others have had similar experiences; they call them Life-After-Life or Near-Death experiences. Maybe that is what you have had. I don't know.
Anyway, I have become what I would call a Gnostic. I am now a Co-mason. And am learning the Hebrew alphabet. Yep, strangely enough, looking to get in touch that way.
Shalom, Brother.

Hebrews are required to follow The Law. God sent his son to die to bring freedom from The Law. Read Galatians 3 & 4. If you truly had a fact to face with the one true God then these passages would speak to your spirit and you would know that God does not ant us to follow The Law (Become Hebrews) rather he wants us to believe in His promise to us. Did he promise you something? Do you believe it?
The Hebrew culture of the OT comes out of the faith of Abraham, and that faith had nothing to do with the Law because it hadn't been given (for another 400+ years). God doesn't want us to become like the Hebrews (Jews) and follow the Law. Rather he wants us all, including the Jews, to become like Abraham and follow Him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Having read the responses thus far, I would say that "arvecar" may also be onto something. Not the previous life thing, but the learing to share part.

I enjoy reading these reactions that articles like this get from the religious fanatics. You can really get them stirred up.
When all their ranting and raving is over, they all show their true beliefs. Look at their responses, if they do anything but misquote their bible, quran or whatever, they speak of killing, stealing, abusing or mistreating others.
Somewhere I read that "Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you". Sound familiar?
Or how about this one "Thou shall not kill"....
Maybe before any bible thumpin born again christian or moslim or jew or whatever, opens their mouth to speak, they should look deep inside themselves and assure their words will express GOD's will and not their own sick little desires.

What does it mean "feel like Hebrew"?
I'm Hebrew and I don't know what you mean and how being "Hebrew" is different from being Christian American, or anything else.

If God came and talked to you it was not God.
God does not need to come to see you he is with you all of the time.
The kingdom of the father is within you.

Technically, all Christians are jewish in the sense that we are all descendants of Abraham. If not physically, then definitely spiritually.
